Game 27: Safeco Field M’s vs. Devil Rays

Well I was back at Safeco field on Friday night for the M’s game.  I am going to keep this short because the game itself was boring, not because the M’s lost but it was kind an overall boring game.    Sele gave up a run in the second which the M’s got back in the forth.  Tampa Bay countered with home run by Huff in the fifth with two guys on and then they added to their lead in the seventh with two more runs.  Morse finally got his first major league hit, Beltre had one hit, and Ibanez had three.  That is fairly sad against the team with the worst road record in baseball.  Fossum got hurt and left the game early so Waechter got the win for the Devil Rays.
The M’s fall to 22-31 for the year.  They are still 8 games back of Texas and third in the AL West.
Ichiro update.  Well nothing new to report on the Ichiro front.  He went 0-4 for the game.  This means that still has 993 hits for 687 games.  That moves his average to 1.445415 hits per game.  He is now projected to get his 1000th hit in game 691.8429 which is the middle of their roadtrip in Florida.
