Back in March I blogged about attending a benefit concert for the Northwest School. Over a month ago in KNDD 107.7 The End’s weekly on-line acution to support the Vera Project they auctioned off Dave Dederer’s guitar. For those of you who do not know Dave he is the guitar player in the band The Presidents of the United States of America. The guitar has a big history with Dave and was used on all of the President’s recording from about 1997 through this year. If you look on the Presidents site you can see lots of photos of Dave playing this guitar (I stoled a photo off of their site to include with this blog entry). The cool thing about the guitar was it was signed by everyone who played the Northwest School benefit. That’s right you can see everyone from the Presidents band, all of the members of Pearl Jam (I like the way Eddie Vedder does his signature), the Wilson sisters from the band Heart, and grammy award winning jazz guitarist, Bill Frisell.
The guitar itself is a custom built guitar from Mike Lull’s Guitar Works.
Some day I will have it on display with my Fender Strat (Squire) that was never used but signed by all of the guys in Audioslave.
