T-Birds vs. Prince George Cougars

Sunday afternoon I was back in Key Arena for a rare 2:35 pm start.  Price George was the only team the T-Birds had a win against this year.  The now have all their players back from NHL teams and they are much improved.  They got two goals in the first.  Their second goal was really frustrating because here it was with less than 20 seconds to go in the period and the T-Birds dump the puck to make a line change which kind of shows that they are not aware of clock management.  The Cougars bring the puck down the ice and somehow there is a face-off in the T-Bird zone with six seconds left.  Off of the drop of the puck the Cougars score.  The second period saw the Cougars score again but the T-Birds also got a goal!  A minute into the third period the Cougars score a freak goal so they are up five to 1.  Three minutes later the T-Birds respond making it 5-2.  20 seconds later they score again so it is now 5-3.  That was it however and the T-Birds lose again.  Their record is now 1-5-1-1 and they are now in last place in the division put still only four points out of first.
