T-Birds vs. Winter Hawks

Saturday night the Seattle Thunderbirds took on the Portland Winter Hawks.  I think playing US division teams is just what the T-Birds needed as for the second day in a row they get a win and also get a win agaist the top team in the league!  Portland scored about seven minutes into the first period on a power play.  Scott "action" Jackson got his power play goal about three minutes later.  The second period was scoreless but Tomanek scored a little over two mintues into the third period.  Scurko scored with about two minutes left in the game to cap it off.  Out came the fresh fish from the stands in front of the goalie.  The fish only come out for Portland and I am sure they really like that.

The T-Birds are now 3-5-1-1 and have moved all the way to third in the division with 8 point and only four points behind the SilverTips.
