On October 22, 1990 at the Off-Ramp Cafe in Seattle the band Mookie Blaylock played their first show. A few gigs later they were playing under the name Pearl Jam. 15 years later they are still going strong (after a few changes at drummer). I am a big fan of PJ and over the last 15 years I cannot think of a year where I did not see PJ play at least once. In some years up to five or six times.

PS. The Off-Ramp has gone through many name changes over the years. Currently it is going under the name El Corazón but it is still in its same location just off of an I-5 off ramp in downtown Seattle.
