Friday night I was in Key Arena for the Sonics second game of the season. There were still a lot of empty seats which is kind of a surprise considering that the Sonics went far in the playoffs last year, Kevin Garnett was in town, and it was a Friday night!
The Sonics are now 1-1 for the year after an overtime win over the Timberwolves 107-102. The Sonics really did not shoot all that well. They were 4-25 from the three point shot and they had two of their threes in the OT period. Ray Allen had 32 points for the Sonics who did a good job shutting down Garentt who only got 23.
It was great to get a NW division win but if the playoffs were to start today the Sonics would be on the outside looking in
. A couple things of note is that the Seattle Times is listing minutes and seconds in the box scroe this year. The second is that New Orleans is being listed as NO/Okahoma City in the standings.
