Huskies vs. Lions

The day after Thanksgiving I was in Hec Ed to see the Washington Huskies take on the Loyola Marymount Lions.  It was a rare 3:30 pm start but considering it was a holiday Friday it was nice to not have a game that was not too late in the day.  I was suprised to see that the house was almost packed for the game but then again the Huskies were now #25 in the national polls and have the longest home winning streak in the country.
This game was not close at all.  The Huskies had 65 points at half time and the Lions got on a bit of a roll to have 31.  This did put them on pace to break school records but the Huskies slowed down a bit in the second half but still won 112-65.  Last year the Dawgs played LMU down in California and it was an extremly close game and the Lions had many starters return so it was kind of a bummer that it was not a closer game.
Wes Wardrop led the Lions with 13 points.  Brandon Roy led the Huskies with 19 but Ryan Appleby came off of the bench with 6 three pointers for 18 points.  Jamal Williams had a double double for the Huskies with 12 boards and 17 points.

The Huskies are now 6-0 and the Lions fall to 1-2.  Next up for the Huskies is Gonzaga!
