T-Birds vs. Pats

Getting caught up on my blogging…
On Thanksgiving eve I was in Key Arena to see the Seattle Thunderbirds take on the Regina Pats in a WHL hockey match.  The T-Birds had the came in control from almost the opening drop of the puck.  With goalie Bryan Bridges out with a sprained ankle the backup Gavin McHale got a rare start and he did well in stopping all 28 shots as the T-Birds went on to a 4-0 win.  Ryan Gibbons got a goal about half way through the first period.  Mitch Fadden jumped on the Pats early in the second period and Lladislav Scurko scored about half way through.  Clayton Barthel scored with about 30 seconds left in the third period on a power play.  This resulted in the only fight of the game a few seconds later.

The T-Birds are now 11-7-1-2 and are on a roll winning 10 of their last 13 games.
