Book I read in 2012

Once Upon a Time: A Collection of Classic Fairy Tails

Author: Brothers Grimm

Released as a companion to the Once Upon a Time TV show this is a collection of the Brothers Grimm fairy tails. Each was only a few pages long and it an interesting read on stories that you might only know the Disney versions of.

The Hunger Games

Author: Suzanne Collins

This looks to be a great trilogy of books. A strong female lead. I cannot wait to see the movie adaption this year. Great book for teen or perhaps a pre-teen but adults will enjoy it also – I did.

Jedi Twilight (Star Wars: Coruscant Nights I)

Author: Michael Reaves

First of the three books about a Jedi hiding in the underworld of Coruscant (Imperial Center) shortly after Star Wars Episode III. A droid with uninhibited AI and an alien news reporter search for the Jedi at the same time Vader is looking for him. I was almost all the way through the book when I realized I had read it before. Streets of Shadows (Star Wars: Coruscant Nights II)

Author: Michael Reaves

The crew from the first book in the series is tasked with helping get a rebel off of Coruscant only to find that the person they are tasked to help as been murdered. They then need to find the murder. Additionally, a Force skilled bounty hunter is tasked by Vader to try and kill the Jedi from their crew.

Catching Fire (The Second Book of the Hunger Games)

Author: Suzanne Collins

The trilogy continues as Katniss has to return to the Hunger Games but this time she has allies known and unknown in the rebellion against the Capitol.

Star Wars: Darth Vader and Son

Author: Jeffery Brown

A cute picture book about Darth Vader as a parent to a young Luke Skywalker.  Many lines from the movie are used. I can’t wait for the next book with Leia which comes out in April 2013.
